Know what to reorder before the shelf goes empty.

Uniforge reads your stock and your sales history and answers the three questions that actually cost money: what runs out first, what is dead capital, and what cannot ship today.

Three questions that actually cost money.

What runs out first?

Every product you stock, ranked by how many days of cover it has left. The dashed line is your own lead time × 1.5. Everything under it is the purchase order that writes itself.

What is dead capital?

Dead stock and overstock are priced, not just listed: the margin at risk if it is written off today, and what the surplus units are worth at retail.

Moving — 1,317 SKUsDid not sell once in the window — 178 SKUs

Dead stock, at retail
$2.19M

12% of the catalogue, but 14% of the money. You paid $1.29M for it, and it is still on the shelf.

Everything you hold
$15.17M

Total inventory at retail across 1,495 SKUs.

What cannot ship today?

Products that cannot ship surface as a blocked line today, with the cause attached, rather than a fortnight later as a late delivery and a refund.

Orders outpace sellable stock. Split by cause —

  • Oversold

    −1 available, 0 on shelf

Available stock is below zero: more units are committed than you own.

Next step: Receive inventory or cancel reservations.

  • Held by a reservation

    0 available, 2 on shelf

Reservations eat into shelf stock: you own the units, but cannot sell them until the reservations clear.

Next step: Clear or reduce the reservation holding this stock.

because the fix differs, and each group carries its own next step.

One product from each group, from the pilot catalogue.

One screen, the whole inventory position.

Not a report you run. A standing view of the catalogue, recomputed against your own lead times, that says what to do today and shows the working.

Revenue and units over your window
Pick the period and everything below is computed against it — velocity, runway, dead stock, all of it.
What needs attention today
Truly at risk, covered by an inbound order, out of stock, and negative stock, counted separately because the response to each one differs.
Where the capital sits
What the stock on hand would sell for, what was paid for it, and how much of it has stopped moving entirely.
Your thresholds, in the header
Lead time, safety buffer and the “What is the overstock horizon and how do I choose it?” are set once and every other view follows them. Nothing is hard-coded to a default we picked.
Fig. 01What falls out of it: the ranked worklist. Order quantity fills in once a product’s runway drops below lead time × 1.5, and the whole list is selectable in bulk.

Six views, one dataset, no reconciliation.

Each of these is a different question about the same catalogue, computed from the same sync and the same thresholds. Nothing here needs a spreadsheet to be joined back together.

  • Each dot is a product: how fast it sells against how many days of stock are left. The fast-selling, nearly-out quadrant is the reorder-now zone. Colour is urgency against lead time, and an arrow marks the lines an open purchase order already covers.

Ask it the way you would ask a person.

The same data, asked in plain language. “What should I reorder this week?” answers in one line first, then shows the tables underneath.

  • It states the assumptions it used — the configured “How does Uniforge use lead time, and what happens when a supplier’s lead time changes?”, the safety buffer, the window — so the number can be checked rather than taken on trust.
  • Every table it returns expands to the full list, and it is the same list the reorder view produces. There is no second set of numbers.
  • It answers from your stock and sales data only. Where the data cannot support an answer, it says so instead of estimating.
Fig. 08One line, then the working: the assistant answers first and shows the tables and the assumptions it used underneath.

Connect, compute, act.

Read-only from the first minute. Nothing is ever written back to your stock system.

  1. Connect

We build the “What does a read-only adapter actually connect to, and can it change anything in my stock system?” to the stock system you already run, and we do the connecting. Nothing migrates, nothing changes for your team. The first sync pulls your catalogue, stock on hand and sales history.

    Your cloud stock system

Reached over its REST API with read-only credentials you issue and can revoke.

    Reads, every sync

    Writes back

    None, ever

    Uniforge

Recomputes runway, dead stock, overstock and blockers against your own thresholds.

    • Catalogue and stock — Products, warehouses and stock on hand, per location.
    • Sales and movements — Orders and stock movements over your window — the sales history every velocity number is computed from.
    • Purchase orders and returns — Open POs, so a line already covered by an inbound order is not flagged for reorder twice.

One connector today: your cloud stock system. Running on a different system? The connector is a per-vendor adapter; tell us which one you run and we will say honestly whether that is a week or a quarter.

  2. Compute

Set lead time, “What is a safety buffer, and what number should I set for a 30-day supplier?” and the overstock horizon. Velocity, runway, reorder quantity, dead stock and overstock are all computed against those three numbers — change one and the whole dashboard follows.

    You set

    • Lead time
    • Safety buffer
    • Overstock horizon

    Computed against them

    • Velocity
    • Runway
    • Reorder quantity
    • Dead stock
    • Overstock
  3. Act

Work the ranked list, or ask the assistant. Order quantities are suggestions with their working shown, so the buyer stays the one who decides.

See it against your own catalogue.
